Outlier is an independent Android fitness tracking application. It is not affiliated with any corporation. For any privacy-related questions, contact us directly at the address listed at the bottom of this document.
While you are not signed in, all fitness data you enter — body measurements, workout history, training sessions, personal statistics, and app settings — is stored exclusively on your device. This data never leaves your device.
The App offers an optional feature to sign in with your Google Account. If you choose to sign in, the following data is synced to our secure cloud database (Google Firebase Firestore) so that it is preserved across reinstalls and devices:
This data is linked to your Google Account user ID. We do not store your name or email address in our database.
The App uses Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage data. This includes which screens and features are used, session duration, device type, OS version, and country/region (not precise location). This data is aggregated and anonymized — it does not include your fitness measurements or personal statistics.
You can opt out via: Android Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization.
The App may send local push notifications (workout reminders, streak alerts, etc.). These are generated entirely on your device. We do not collect any data about whether you open or interact with notifications.
The App uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

By choosing to sign in with Google and enabling cloud sync, you explicitly consent to us processing this data for the purpose of providing the App's core functionality — syncing your fitness profile across devices.
You may withdraw this consent at any time by signing out of your Google Account within the App or by requesting deletion of your data (see Section 06).

We do not sell your personal information. You have the right to know what data we collect, to request deletion, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Contact us at empyreaninu@gmail.com for any such requests.
The App is intended for users aged 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. In the European Union, users under 16 must obtain parental consent before using the App's Google account features.
If you believe a person under 16 has created an account, please contact us and we will delete the account promptly.
Your cloud data is stored in Google Firebase Firestore, which uses industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Access is restricted to your account only.
Local data on your device is protected by your device's own security (screen lock, Android encryption). We recommend keeping your device software up to date.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify you within the App. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
